Camping at Coxs River, B-MTS

Yes you can Tim. I walked the track a few months back & our first nights accomodation was in huts on the Cox'e adjacent to the camp area your after.
The turn off the GWH'way is at Little Hartley (next west after Mt Victoria) or it may be just a little west of the locality. Can't help you more than that as you will require a more detailed than I have. Best I can offer is keep heading south and keep left. Carpe Diem

Contact Val Luhede at the Yerranderie Post office/ township, you should be able to get some info on the Cox river there.

Tim ... nearly thought u were in the Outback and almost mixed up your query with the Cox's River Camp ground on the road from Lawn Hill to Roper Bar..

there is a commercial camping area on the Hartley / Jenolan rd on the Cox.
You can also get to the camping site at the jcn of Cox and Breakfast Ck. To get to this site you will have to go south towards Jenolan on the Jenolan rd and turn left along the Black range Fire trail which you follow for about 12 km. The track then turns left and drops onto Little river. If you keep on this track it will lead via private land to the Cox River.
From the time you leave the Jenolan Rd you will be on the 6 ft track

We do this trip about 4 times a year with Bush Fire Brigade (Sorry have to use the New Name Rural Fire Service)
