Hello All
Maybe someone can help me with settings on the computer.
I emailed some photos to a friend the other day and he says that sometimes all he receives are pages of numbers, but no photos, can anyone help or advise on this issue?
Thanks

Sounds like the wrong program is trying to open the file at your friend's end.
If the wrong program is associated with the file type you send him, the program will sometimes try to open the file but all that gets displayed is the data in the file rather than the image the data creates.

Get him to
check his File associations.
If they are .jpg files for instance
For windows XP
In Windows Explorer
"Tools"
"Folder Options"
"File Types"
Check which programs are opening files with .jpg extensions,
In windows 7
in the Start programs area
Search for
"File associations"
Click on "make files open with a particular program"
Choose .jpg extension and see which program is trying to open the file.
It can be changed in this area.
Don't play around with any other extensions other than graphics formats, otherwise you can mess things up more. If unsure get a pro to help you out.

Alternative, right click on the file to be opened... then open with... and choose which program you want to open that file ...

Can you tell us the whole file name for the photos you sent him??
Example., 12345.jpeg or 12345.gif this may help us with sorting your problem.
Cheers
