Yep - love it - and worth the $ probably :-o) - the ability to bring fresh air in and expel unwanted air is a great bonus I'd suggest - much like we use the AC at home at times - just to freshen the place up, if there is no breeze - our fan has IN / OUT flow direction plus 3 speeds I think - on flat out, it really gets going. Our model has a thermostatic cut in/out control too - the earlier models not so I'm told.

Hi Duane,

In short YES they are worth it for several reasons.

We have 2 one in the front and the other other in the back of the caravan. We set one to in and the other to out. On a hot day this creates a air current. Also for cooking in the van. The one near the stove set to out and on level 3. This gets rid of steam and any cooking smells.

You need to be a sound sleeper if you have one above the bed and leave it on at night. Makes a noise even on level 1.

They are a replacement for the AC, which you will need a generator to run on hot days. Ours are powered by the roof solar panels.

You need to paint the roof plastic as it is not UV stable and will begin to damage after several years in constant sun.

They have a great insect seal. Much better than a 4 seasons hatch. They do not drop moisture in the winter like a 4 seasons as well.
