new boy, I had a falcon ute advertised in the Sunday Times and had a sms requesting that I ring a guy in Mt Lawley between the times listed by you. Gave me the whole story about they have finance brokers available etc etc. I did not take up the offer as I felt that they would "encourage" me to drop the price. Price is not a consideration for someone charging a flat fee and of course they will pick up a fee from the finance coy if they put it their way. I just continued the old fashion way and sold the car through my own advertising.

Cheers

I think this is the website for them:

So they exist, if that is any help :)

Your best option is to give Fair Trading a call and see if they have any complaints about them.

I don't know anything about them personnally, but if your handing over a high value item to someone it's worth knowing if they have a history, and make sure you read the fine print.

Also I would think you would need to find out from Fair trading and maybe a lawyer were you stand if you want to take the van back for some reason?

Do you sign it over to them, and they collect the money thenpay you or you simply displaying it in their yard, and when some one comes to buy it they deal with you.

Were do you stand with insurance if it's stolen or damaged?

Good Luck

Re insurance, If you read the fine print on NRMA policy it states that if it is on consignment anywhere it is no longer covered.
This by the way also covers vehicles when you have them advertised for sale whether down the road or in your front yard.

Well last time I actually read my PDS that's what it said.
