i would like to have fitted an exhaust system and chip to my 2002 100 series td. looking primarily for increased towing torque as our van is up around 3500kg. has any member had this work done satisfactorily in
melbourne ? if so i would appreciate recommendations

I had
mine done in
Brisbane and have a 3"mandrel bent exhaust and a Safari chip
It went from 145hp to 165.4 on the dyno.
The best thing you could do is weigh the van and try to cut the weight down.
Mine gives more pickup but didnt alter fuel consumption.
Doesnt really make a lot of difference cruising at 90kph in 4th
It just purrs along at 2400rpm

I have had a Safari High Output kit (exhaust, special dtronic and bigger inter cooler) fitted 2 years ago and it made a world of difference to my 2005 TD, unfortunately safari are not doing this kit any more. I had it done by Autocraft in Geelong who now does a Stienbauer package for similar output.
