Hi all, I own a 93 4runner v6 (not surf). Apart from selling the thing, I'm after some advice. I live in North East Victoria and am looking for someone who will do a good job of manufacturibg roof racks, side rails and side steps. These are now all unavailable from the usual 4WD specialists, ie ARB TJM etc.
Also, I have just hade new 31 x 10 x 15 Goodyear Wrangler tyres fitted, I am getting frustrated at the lack of power such as cruising at highway speeds and speed dropping to 85 km/h on hills such as those found on the Hume Freeway. Is there anything to be done, chip, extractors etc to help with this problem. Unable to purchase a new vehicl for next 2 years or so and need to keep this one.
Help please?????

On my old runner I fitted a sports exhaust and a finer filter which made a small diff. From memory it was about 10ks quicker over my test hill, and the 31s do kill them.

Thanks for that, already have a sports muffler on the back. I'll try the finer filter and perhaps get some road tyres. I have a set of sunraysia rims, so i can put the 31's on them, however, is there issues with putting diffrent offset rims? how will it affect the handling etc. Also, how about extractors?

Can not coment about the rims, but all the cars I have put extractors on it has made a significent diff, but they are very expensive for v6s, so may not be cost effective, but get a quote.
The v6 in the runner was only 105 kw. We where all excited when it was released as it was nearly as much as the 3f in the cruiser, but thses days corrolas have 120kw.

Blair dog, head down to the wreckers and strip a rola roof rack off a VT commodore wagon,

you will need to trim the cross bars but they justabout fit straight on.

Cost under $20
