Can somebody tell me whether a set of 120 Series Prado Steel Rims (17x7.5) could be fitted to the New 150 Series Prado (GXL) which has 17 x 7.5 Alloys. I know the stud pattern is the same, but would the off-set be the same and would the brake calipers be affected etc. I wish to buy a set for an outback trip.
cheers

Gidday

Don't assume anything. I purchased a steel rim from Toyota as a second spare for a 120 series Prado. The bloke told me they had the same setting as the alloy wheels. Bananas they did!

The stud pattern was the same, but they wouldn’t fully seat onto the hub.

This meant I had to stop every 20 minutes to ensure the nuts were holding over a distance of 300K’s on a bush track.

Regards

Kim

One should also check and double check everything before one heads off as well.
