G'day All
We have three couples proposing a
Cape York trip in July/August.
Our proposal is to leave caravans (2) /campertrailer at
Musgrave Roadhouse or not much further north. Ron and Viv Moon's guide suggests caravanning through to
Weipa is possible but we would prefer to leave
Weipa until the trip back from the cape.
Any suggestions/recommendations regarding caravan storage locations would be welcome.
Cheers
John

Hi
John.
This question gets asked quite a bit. You can try this thread (74822) by putting it in to the search engine.
The "capeyorker"
forum also has lots of information.

Mt Carbine is a very good place to leave vans. If going up by Cape Trib its not far back down to the Captain
Cook Hwy, then north to
Mossman.
By the way if you need to stock up on meat for the cape trip, there is a great butcher in
Mossman. Will cyrovac as
well.

In 2008 we left our vans at
Weipa CV Park, they have an area set aside for it. Id do that again when we are up there next.
However you dont state what vans, dads jayco tore out both shocks before
Weipa, but had no other problems.

G'day ddr
You wouldn't want any other problems after that would you?
We have a Jayco Outback! Don't really want to take it that far north.
Cheers
