Elbow grease

Hi all,

I have some stains on my stainless steel pots that go inside my shuttle chef. I've tried putting them in the dishwasher several times but it doesn't seem to remove it. I asked my old man and he said use elbow grease and that'll remove it.

There lies my problem, I've search every where for someone to sell elbow grease but no ones seems to stock it, I've googled for suppliers, tried all the major suppliers Castrol Fuch's etc but no one has it.

The Old guy at the local garage said he hasn't seen much elbow grease used around here in years.

Has anyone out there got a tin or tub in there shed that I might be able to purchase?

Thanks in advance for all your help,

Cheers Wilko

I've got some, but can't find the left handed screwdriver to open the valve to get it out.

If I find that I'll send you some.

Wilko,

You are looking in the wrong spots.

They are located in both Building and Plumbing Outlets right next to the Long Weights and Rainbow paints.

HTH

Bunnings is NOT a Building or Plumbing outlet, it is a hobby store ;) there lies the problem

You will find the elbow grease in the same section as common sense and sky hooks; both are just as difficult to find as the elbow grease.... lol (:

I found it....

Sky hooks are there as well

"Using ancient secrets from the famous sky rope climbers in India, the new KaleCoAuto Skyhook set is perfect for the home mechanic! Comes in a set of four (for each corner of your vehicle.) Simply attach the top of the chain to the sky, and hoist any object up to 700lbs per chain, onto each hook!"

As left handed screwdrivers are only metric, the imperial ones are out of stock.

"This screwdriver was specially formulated by the Coalition of Left Handed Peoples for the Furthering of Left Handed Recognition and Also the Metric System. (AKA CLHPFLHRAMS.) Naturally, KaleCoAuto came to a partnership with them to create this finely machine crafted screwdriver. This screwdriver uses high tech materials, such as steel, and plastic. (NASA uses steel and plastic!) This screwdriver is great for loosening screws on the right side of the vehicle, or tightening screws on the left side of the vehicle."

The most useful tool is the WIPER BLADE SHARPENER.

"Wiper blades not cutting it? Why replace them, when you could sharpen them? This high grade whetstone is all that you would expect from our quality line of KaleCoAuto products. It features three sharpening surfaces for different
sizes of wiperblades."

I can get these at a discount, just send me a blank signed cheque (to save you the time filling in the details) to PO Box 000 in your nearest Capital City.

When I broke my elbow roller blading with my 8 year old several years ago, my elbow never fully extended or would ache constantly.

But 3 months ago I read some rubbish on uses for WD 40.... so I sprayed it on my elbow as mentioned it helps with old joints!! and it's been great since.

Try some of that on your elbows that will help.

Cheers

Hi Wilko.
I can't be sure, but I think the active ingredient in elbow grease is quite similar to Jiff. Certainly, i have had quite good results with Jiff and steel wool or other scourers.
The worst to remove are burnt in fat, which looks like a sort of varnish (rather than a blackish stain). This seems to need serious scouring, even to the extent of the Dremel with a wire brush. Lesser stains (more of the blackish food stuff etc), may respond to soaking in vinegar/bicarb soda mixture (sprinkle the bicarb soda, add the vinegar, leave overnight).
But basically, if you spread Jiff over the offending area, and then rub like billyo with steel wool until the sweat from your brow drips onto the steel, then you'll find the chemical composition will indeed be similar to elbow gease.

Thanks Chris,
But i'm not to keen on putting any effort in to remove the stain thats why I'm looking for the original elbow grease.

Hi Wilko,

While you are waiting for your parcel of elbow grease to arrive, try boiling water in the stainless steel pots, but cut up a few lemons first (or get someone to do it for you if it's too much effort), and put them in the pots. Boil it all up, leave it overnight to cool, see how ya go. Cleaned up a couple of kettles Mrs Bushwhacker wouldn't use... no elbow grease required!

Cheers, Dave

Wilko,
I will look in the shed later ,there was some in there, i think it was on a shelf behind a stack of post holes that we dug once when it was wet so we didn't have to dig any when the ground got hard. Just near the left handed screwdrivers and motorbike ashtrays.
cheers, good luck with the search.

Use Esteel stainless steel cleaner

Much quicker and easier than actually scrubbing ;-)
