Crystal Cascades is a nice park. It's a Big4 and a bit expensive but we found it good for our two week stay in Cairns last year. About 10 minutes out of town from memory,

Coconut resort was prob the best appointed park I've ever stayed in but pricey.

Another vote for the Coconuts...

Were there last year and it was great with the kids.

Also spent a very interesting half hour in the pool talking to "Spider" Everitt (ex Hawthorn and Swans AFL player..............)

If you wish to stay at a Big4 then Crystal Cascades is much better value.

Last year Istayed at theCairns Holiday Park(about 10 mins.north of the city) and I can certainly reccomend it.Relatively new owners and very nice people.Cost $32 per night for a powered site but can get quite busy so best give them a ring.

If you're travelling with kids the coconut resort is the go.

We stayed at the First City Caravilla Caravan Park, Kelly St, Earlville (Google E QLD145°44'33.07"E 16°56'18.69"S ) for 3 nights about 3 years back - quite good - not cheap - but close enough to everything - BTW....had a totally forgettable meal one night at the Leagues Club just a short walk along the highway - not recommended to anyone, unless you live full time on junk food as well as smoke and drink far too much :-o).
