EO Gathering at Berri was a blast, I would like to thank all the EO members who attended, and a special thanks to non-members "time waster", "Stuart SA" and local Riverland Club members for making this a great weekend, also a big thanks to David and Michelle for sending over some give aways for people attending.

Now a brief rundown on the weekend:

Luke and Brad Borg, both practiced flipping Kayak's while Luke also bent 1 sidestep friday whilst driving over our property, then doing in both side steps on the Side Step Crusher at Loveday. I guess the final insult was being winched up a small sand hill that a Mitsubishi Challenger ...climbed up and over easily..LOLOL.

Out at Loveday, quite a few recoveries occured, with one 100 series needing a double winch pull using 2 vehicles to get him out. A group of muddy vehicle's returned back to our campsite with a couple of guys doing some of the area we camped at.

A couple of guys had paddled earlier in the day from the other side of Berri around to our campsite and now some of the people returning from Loveday decided to do a paddle also so headed over to a local bush church.

I believe everyone enjoyed the weekend and with some of the non EO members saying they would be joining soon.

I would like to also say again thank you to all for making this an easy and fun event to put on...

Cheers to all..

Hi Glenn
We should be the ones to say our sincere thanks to both you and Sadie for such a great weekend. Those that thought about it and put it off, make sure you watch out for future events at Glenn's property, it is the most perfect location.

As they say, all tracks lead to Glenn's property.

Once again, thanks for such a great time, with great like minded people.

Regards

Stephen

What a great weekend in God's own country, close to Adelaide, a secret Glen has kept well.
Great to put put faces to names.
Great challenge for the Xtrail, had the opportunity to try all and reverse out of most.
Put me down for the next trip but $90 a night for a bush toilet is still a bit steep after I brought my own. lol

My thanks, Duke did not catch a rabbit but chased a few, I will be bringing the fishing on the next one.

Thanks to everyone involved in organising a great weekend, especially Glenn & Sadie, for letting us stay on their property. It's a top spot you have there.

The trip to Loveday's 4X4 Park was great, i'd definitely go & do it again (after i fix the exhaust on the Patrol, of course... might even have another go at "Bunyip's Cave" & see if i can't add some more transfer case alloy to the "Sidestep Cruncher" LOL)

Was also good to see that school did actually teach me something with the kayaking lessons & that i had the chance to put it into practise (and surprisingly i REMEMBERED it! LOL)... Hopefully i won't have to use it again...

Thanks again for a great weekend, we'll definitely have to attend more in the future.

Cheers, Brad

What a great weekend you organized Glenn, great location and fantastic people we met.

We also gained some great experience from you on your land and at Loveday learning alot about a terrain we are not use to.

Thanks again for a top effort.

Hi Guys,

Glad you enjoyed, also loved seeing the girls having fun outdoors away from playstations etc.. Great that you learned something on the weekend about driving different area's and seeing how much these vehicles can usually go way further than we are game enough to take them..

Cheers

P.S. How did Lynley go with the interview?

Yeh i suppose it was OK, but having to fill as celeb at the last minute, in the absence of Willy and Roach, who pulled it with poor excuses, might note they both drive nissans, it was a draining time, espectaly at 1 am this morning when we got home hahaha.
Yep another good one mate, keep up the good work. Catchya soon.

Cheers Pesty

The Luke clan had an excellent W/E. Would love to come back for another visit one day, you have a great part of the river there.

Well I managed to receive the biggest muck up award for the weekend. Firstly it was knocking down not one but two wooden steaks out of the ground that Blaze had put near some obstacles to make for some challenging 4wding which I later pegged back in. Secondly I totally destroyed both (alloy) side steps and thirdly which topped it off I capsized a kayak about 200m from shore, got Brad (Littleborgy) to tow the said kayak back to camp while I swam back.

On the Sunday after all the formalities and awards on Saturday night, I (along with Stuart) managed to have the tail light in the rear bumper on the Patrol fall out only to be saved from losing it completely by the wiring.

The "easy" sand hill was a bit of a challenge for the Patrol with no run up. I will clarify that I had only used the winch once in the two years it's been fitted and this exhibition was planned! I nearly made it. You have a way with words Glen lol

When I pulled in the drive way @ 2245 Sunday I noticed the R/H tail light was hanging by it's wires again and the exhaust's rear hanger had came out, They were fixed in no time lol

Thanks to Glen and Sadie for such an excellent well planned W/E.

Was also good to meet and put a few more faces to names.

Cheers Luke & Careen

You will see Luke that Stuart has a couple of Lights for you if you like..LOL Glad all you guys enjoyed the time up here, I am looking into whether for a few years we do it as an annual event, a long weekend would suit better but of course loveday would be busier, give me some feedback guys on what you think, either message me or email me on blaze22@tpg.com.au

Cheers

PS, Stuart, Sadie and i believe it was all a plan to get the rear swing away, and you probably unclipped them halfway before Sundays drive.. LMAO

Thanks Glen & Sadie for a great weekend, a beautiful spot you have there.
Sorry we have been slow to thank you for the wonderful weekend but it has taken me three days to clean the car and search for my rear lights on the highway home. lol.
Very please now because I am allowed to spend more money on the car and repalce the back bumper, so if Luke would like to buy two spare lights let me know.
Enjoyed everyones company, and look forward to next time.
Thanks again.
