Hi Zacc

We spent a weekend at the Hospitality Inn - on the highway coming into town from the west. The rooms are well behind the main building and it was quiet. Staff were very pleasant, and we dined in and found the meals good. I can't comment on value as we don't normally stay at this type of accommodation, and this was a weekend in the middle of a couple of weeks bush camping, and a chance to do the washing - laundry on site too.

You could always stay at the Red House. Not that I have any connection to it!
It is a bit expensive though, so I have heard for all night stay.

Hairy, I said I had no connection with the place......... :-)
It's only what they tell me!

LMAO, But I will admit, when we get to Kalgoorlie on our big trip, I am going to go and do a tour though out of curiosity.

Hairy, its up for sale at the moment if you are interested. Make good money I have heard, especially if you want to participate.

You could always do a search for it but I suggest spelling it "Kalgoorlie Accommodation" for better results.

Hello
I stayed in a standard villa at the Boulder Discovery Park in November - had all facilitys so you can do your own meals if you wish. Cost was $105 per night. Not sure if that would be more for two people, think they add $15/night. Phone 90931266 and see what they say.

Cheers
Greg

The problem with accommodation in Kal is the fact that it is a base for the mining community and this can make it expensive. I stayed at the Backpackers in 2007 for a decent price, considering the situation ($35 per night for a single room) but this has since gone up. I had to share the fridge with everyone else in the place and it was hard to find a small place to put my food. There was queue to use the cooking facilities. I only got a room because I booked ahead which is what I recommend you do for whatever accommodation you want to use.
