Hi looking at fitting 33' or 35' all terrains just wondering if anybody had much variation in economy with their choice of tyres currently have 32" 5 rib ATZ Mickey Thomsons and will be using they same tread pattern. Would appreciate your feedback thanks.

Hi Batts,

While I can't answer your question specifically, I would suggest that you will incur a deterioration in both fuel economy and performance. Generally the larger the tyre size increase over OE the larger the effect.

Rgds,

Rob.

Hi,
I had a 1992 Maverick wgn 4.2 diesel non turbo. Mostly ran 32 11r BF's At tyres on 15x 8 in white rims.
Winter ran 33 BF Muddies on same size rim. from memory used to get about 350 to half a tank with the AT tyres. Lost 50 to 60 km with the 33in muddies on to half a tank. Battled to get 300 km for half.
This was my experience driving the Mav to work and back same route day in day out.
Hope this info helps you.
Alan.
