NearMap and Google Earth

That's illegal isnt it??

Is the downloaded version better than google earth? I've only used the online version.

How do you "download" Nearmap? For me it just runs in the browser? I had a quick look at the website but cant find anything to "download". GE is still alive and well on my PC.

May limit your ability to look at the more remote areas??

You're all right. It does just load into my Browser, but Google Earth has still gone.

Near mapi I use Nearmap at work and it is very good for Metro images and also fairly current (which I need). Just checked and Google still o perates off my desktop as well.

Biggest issue with Nearmaps is that it will not accurately recognise addresses so to do a search you basically need to know where you're going and what to look at when you get there.

We use another spacial mapping program called Giosamba which is address specific but not as current so I use both at once.
