I recently bought a 7' x 4' tradies trailer, one of the ones that has a raised top with a hinged door each side of it.

I intend to fit it out to carry my kayak on the too (on racks) and to fit out the inside so that one side can serve as a kitchen and the other for fishing gear, our oztent and so forth.

If anyone has undertaken a similar, project, I would really appreciate any hints, tips or photos.

Thanks

John

John,

Not sure of you're looking to build or buy, but if you're after something ready to go have a look at

Kitchen and Drawer Combo

Scroll down the page and you'll see some shots (click on them to enlarge). This unit or a similar design can be made to just about any dimensions.

Regards,

Jim.

Hi John,

We made a similar set up years ago for Fraser Island Trips. We welded a pipe on the side of the trailer so we could sit a pole in it to hold up the middle of the kitchen tarp.

We then built up one side of the trailer with and shelves and boxes for the kitchen set up, and the other side for bulk storage. It worked really well for serving up meals for half a dozen hungry and thirsty fishermen.

Regards
Geoff

Hi Jiohn

I have done a similar project, i started with a old lighting plant trailer that was enclosed similar to a tradesman trailer.

I set a kitchen one side that pulls out, rack for the oztent and shelves inside to store bedding, and other stuff. It has been fitted out with engel, water tank and other stuff.

Let me know you email address and i can send some photos.

Alan

Hey these are great ideas, thank you all. I am inspired! Keep the ideas coming though as I have to persuade swmbo that it was a good idea in the first place!!!

We kind of did something like that. But very simple. Have a look at our video.

It was good fun doing it though.

Cheers
