Bendethera Valley Feedback

Went into Bendethera from the Cooma side on the Australia Day break (2010). Great place for a couple days R&R. Dampier fire trail a good run into Bedethera. Would class as easy to medium. Can take off road campers in from the Moruya end easily. Troopie performed very well.
The author must have been riding a trail bike as the trip from Krawaree Rd to Bendethera camp site is nearly 2 hours if you stop and have a look at some of the vantage points. But there again some people do not seem to have the time to take it all in.
Next trip will be up the Mericumbene Fire trail from Auraluen to Bendethara. Looking forward to that.

Yep sure is a nice spot down in the valley, plenty of places to camp and a good walk up to the caves.

The Mericumbene FT will be a bit more of a challange for you, a few steep pinches and rock ledges. The river crossing at Dry Creek is one to watch for water levels as well.

you will find the mericumbene trail has some step clay sections (closer to the northern end) which can be slippery in weather like today & the rivers is up (its been so dry for so long forgot what it looked like following)
