See post 39576----since then has anyone found a cooling fan that puts out a decent amount of air.
My unit has a light truck chasis with 15ft pop top camper, the cabin has no aircon, so I made an evaporative one that fits on front
seat between passenger and driver, it does cool the cabin a bit and blows cool air on both of us at the same time.
Have used a car thermo fan , 10 inch that has a guard on it , it uses 6.5 amps , which is okay when driving.
My aux battery is 105 amps and after making this one I could make a larger version for the body but would need lower wattage fan or fans , one thought was the car cooling fans, they seem to to put out a lot of air but never seen one outside the box.
Kitchen exhaust fan with inverter another thought.

Can recommend the Sirocco by Caframo from Whitworths. But it was more than $99.

Have a 10 inch 20w cheapie
supermarket fan here Kevin.
Run it off my 120w square wave $15 inverter.
Works
well , current draw is higher at 36 watts (3 amps) off car battery.
Took the shroud off to make it smaller.
Runs full size 40cm ones
well as
well.

problem is the fan must fit flat to hole cut in plywood to drag cool air air out of base -- what does yours look like cant have a base either that why i went to car thermo fan

Your car thermo fan is best in that application Kevin , what you could do is get the biggest you can find and have series resistors for speed (and hence noise control).
You can get blower fans from wreckers but will put out higher noise for same air flow as blades are designed to work in a tunnel so to speak.
My solution is meant to be more portable and is used in the tent etc as
well.
While their is plenty of scope to modify the normal house fans , I wouldn't because of the 240vac they run off.

Couple of these would do the trick -
Fans Only draw 0.3A and blow 135 CFM ..

I have tried this & the Coolermaster equivalent...they are both low-pressure fans...great inside a tent for sleeping [very quiet]. Unfortunately they were not effective enough in the open[2m distance]. Baffling didn't help much.

Look here.
It's called Endless Breeze and is 12v with 3 speeds and moves a lot of air on slowest speed.
Current draw in specs is pretty accurate. We bought ours from US as couldn't source local. Very good product.
Cheers
