This is in the front locker of our new/second hand van, can anyone tell me what this is?

Looks like your 12 volt power supply to me.

Converts your 240 to 12 volts for your lights etc.

I reckon it might be a home made jobbie as Hybralec make domestic and industrial low voltage lighting.
