My 60 series 2H diesel is in need of a new front oil seal. Can anybody tell me the socket size required to get the front pulley nut off?

My Gregory's doesn't say, and as it's my daily drive, I need to know I have a socket before I start. :)

Radiator and shroud are still in there now, so it is impossible to get in and check it out at present.

Any special tips for the job?

When I had to do a similar job,I went out and bought a $7 set of calipers for moments like these.
You might be abe to do it with the radiator in place but remove the shroud.

I use the starter motor with the extension bar against the ground to loosen the nut. : )

Hey Cruiserman

Not sure if this is correct advise but i would consider applying some locktite to thread, say #243 as well as being SURE to retension to Toyota specs!

I have seen 3 of these come off while driving over the years and one buggered the end of the crank shaft!

Best of luck GN
