North Star is owned by the same family that owns the
Prairie hotel which is the Fargher family at Parachlina.Going on the food they serve up there it should be o.k.cheers GREENDOG

The North Star does more up market meals and is a bit more expensive then Mt. Remarkable but Mt. Remarkable gives you more
home cook value for money meals.
Most of the locals drink and eat at Mt. Remarkable.

We've had a couple of feeds at the North Star and they were terrific. Service was great and friendly. Haven't eaten at the Mt Remarkable, so can't comment on there. Found the whole town and area delightful each time we've visited.
Happy
trails, Mike.

We have had a few meals at the North Star, and several at the Mt Remarkable, and we prefer to eat at the latter.
North Star has good meals, but more expensive, as they are catering for the tourist, not the locals. A great pub with brilliant outback/rural decor.
Mt Remarkable has good meals, but cheaper and more pub style.
