I am looking at buying a Camps 5 book (when they get back in stock) and notice there are two available.

One is the Camps 5 with Camp Snaps (B4 size) and the other is just Camps 5 (A4 size).

Is there the same content in both, with the pretty pictures and a larger page size in the first one?

In the Camp Snaps version are the maps/text bigger since the pages are larger or is the extra space taken up by the photos? The reason I ask is bigger text would justify the larger page size which I would prefer.

I would check out one personally but no one seems to have stock.

hi ben, in my opion, the bigger one is much better as the maps are larger and easier to read. the pictures are with that site in the camp listings, ang give u some idea of what the sites look like.

Hi Ben,

Unfortunately these items are out of stock everywhere, as retailers are awaiting a shipment arriving in early March. The Camps 5 with CampsSnaps Mega B4-Spiral Bound contains all of the information that is in the Camps Australia Wide 5 - Spiral Bound book, however it is printed in large format (larger test size and mapping), it also includes pictures of many of the campsites.

The Camps 5 snaps maps actually has more detail. You have to compare both side by side to see the difference.

Hi Daza.
I recently purchased camps 5 & have spent over an hour doing updates from their website.
I was surprised how many overnight spots have been closed due to camper abuse.
I believe that updates for camps 4 will be available for a few years yet.

Cheers.

A lot of the Camp Sites have had their reference numbers changed between Camps 4 and Camps 5.

Not a huge issue unless you have one book and are telling other people with the other book to use site number such'n'such.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

Daza,

Site numbering changes between editions. New editions come out every few years ( 3, I think ). Updates are available on their website.

Updates for Camps4 are available till 28/2/2011.
