Had the roof vent on my 2007 Jayco Eagle disintergrate for no apparent reason. After being quoted over $60 to supply a new one from the two dealers in metro Melbourne (supply only not fit) I rang Jayco and was told that there is a faulty batch fitted to all of the new model camper trailers (fibreglass sides) made between 2006 and early 2007. Apparently they are not UV protected and will crumble over time. They happily supplied me with a new one free. If anyone owns one of these it would pay you to check it before your next trip.

G/Day V H

We had a Opaque Roof Vent bleep ter on our 2006 York Caravan the dealer was only to happy to supply another, the problem was wide spread throughout the industry in that period of time you mentioned, our new van has not had a problem.

Cheers

They probably come from China.. I would think for the few cents to add the UV stabliser, all Australian manufacturers would simply add this to avoid the problem.... Michael
