G'Day
I have spent this arvo installing and wiring a 12v computer fan on to the basket between the Waeco and the Two-Zone.
It works fairly well but is there a thermostat that would sit on the wiring inside the Two-Zone to control when the fan goes on/off..?
I left the fan running for 4 hours and the Two-Zone got down to 1.5C which is a bit too cold...
Thanks if you can help

Yes there is from Jaycar KC5476 $33.00 Tempmaster fridge/freezer control unit, works well use one for a Waeco CR80 fridge which had a faulty mechanical thermostat. It could be used to switch a fan on/off. Cheers Daryl

Thanks dbish...
Seems that it's a kit that I'd have to build meself... EEEKKkk...

Glad you have one (did you build it yourself..??) cos now I can ask you questions:
How hard/easy was it to build..?
Once built - Is it easy enough to set the controls re on/off temps..??
Can it be programmed to "on" at 5deg and "off" at 2deg - or is it more crude than that?
Thanks for the info

Jedo_03, Yes it is a kit requring a hand full of components fitted to a printed circuit board requiring soldering, The fulldescription & construction is in a magazine Silicon Chip (may be on line) Feb 2009 issue, it is adjustable temp by a variable resistor (trim pot) The cutin/cutout (diferential temp) as per orig circuit was to narrow 1deg, Changed 10M resistor betwean P1 & P3 on the integrated circuit (IC) to 2.2M this gives 3Deg cutin/out range. Daryl Un fortunately not member of this site so cant post pictures.

The control box of the Danfoss compressor has an output for a DC fan (if not already installed). This switches off when the compressor stops. Of any use?

Please be aware that the danfoss 12v feed is a max of 500Ma continuous, a higher current is allowed for a max of 2seconds during start otherwise you will get fan overload cut out error of 2flashes on the led. If its a Waeco Fridge freezer it already has a fan & internal globe running of it. If you disconected the internal lamp you may ba able to run another fan .These figures are from the Danfoss compressor data sheet. Daryl
