Not sure where the description went. Lucky i copied it.
Hello All. We are lucky enough to have the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society based at our local (NSW) Albion Park Airport. Today, in conjunction with Shellharbour Council, they had a flying and static aircraft display. Thought I would share a few photos of an enjoyable day with you. Regards, Bob.

Gramp, It was worse this arvo trying to get out. Around 40000 people mixing in with heavy traffic heading north after the week end. Would have been bad trying to go north. We went south and northbound traffic was two lanes banked back about 6 Ks.
Ian. Your Dad would have had a good look at heaps today as they all went down over
Kiama way on their flight curcuits.

RTA
sign warning of heavy traffic due to air show and not a cop in sight on point duty, lights on normal phase, typical.

I think the Cat is the only one in Aus and three in the world left flying.

I think from memory it was flown out from England last year after being restoredby a group of enthusiasts. Was talk of it coming for a flyover at the old Catalina base here at Rathmines on Lake Macquarie in NSW.

Fred G
There used to be a junk yard out near Toronto run by a bloke know as 'Ole Snow'. He had heaps of Catalina bits there- even comple aircraft at some stages. I remember having a couple of Catalina pontoons hooked together and a l'il outboard strapped on the back 'adventuring' across Fennels Bay (talking 50 years ago now).!!
