Seems hard to find specific user manuals for Jayco vans...
We have a brand-new Discovery 17.55-3 (rear door + toilet/shower).
Would be nice to have a detailed user manual re this rig...
Where to get it...?
Specifically - need info on water tanks: this model has 2 water tanks, 1 f'ward and 1 aft of dual wheels...
What is the capacity of each of these tanks...? (Litres)
Many thanks for info...

Jedo, the dealer should be able to answer these questions, or you could ring the Jayco factory direct if you dont get much luck on here. There is also a Jayco forum on the Jayco site to, which is full of info. We had a new Swan and they were 90lt tanks. It was in the book we got with the van.

Good luck
Karen

Hi Karen & Geoff
Have asked Halls about a manual. Jayco only put a generic - one-covers-all manual and also a one-covers-all DVD which doesn't really tell you much about the working parts - more of a "Look How Lucky You Are To Own a New Jayco"
Thanks for the info re 2 x 82L tanks - I will look on the Jayco wbsite to glean some more info.

Hey Jedo, Just curious, we have just placed an order for the same van, offroad model. How long did you have to wait from when you placed your order until when your van was delivered??

Cheers

Hi Mark-n-Troods
We bought a brand new Discovery from Halls 13 months ago - that one was in the yard. After using it we wished we'd bought one with a toilet/shower. I Phoned Halls last November to ask about upgrading and they said I'd have to wait a week cos they were still building them at the factory. Sure enough, after a week they phoned to say we could pick the new van up.
I don't think that answers what your question meant though. Just what happened with us.

Had a jayco van and from my experiance they only give you a one for all booklet with the van. Had to find out some of the stuff about them from the dealer when things broke or didn't work properly and i found them to be very knowlegable with their vans .also the tanks where 90lt in the outback version PJK

Thanks Peter
As you say - only have a one-covers-all booklet.
Halls in Mildura have been excellent - and very understanding with this old phart and we did ask them about a 'manual' when we were down there last week and they told us there is only that one.

Just looked at the Jayco site...
Says Discovery shower model has 2 x 82L tanks...
Come to think of it though... 2 x 82L = 164L sounds a fair bit of water...
Until you calculate that that's only 16 bucketfuls...
Thanks to all for your help

Hi Jedo,
I understood that EVERY product sold whatever it is, had to have a manual with spec's relating to that make/model, I sold tyrs for 25yrs, and EVERY tyre we sold had to have specs relating to that type/make/model of tyre we sold, seems strange that Jayco wouldn't supply one relating to your van, just my opinion of how i understand the law before i'm shot down in flames by some people in the forum lmao

Same with Coromal

You get a generic one fits all manual with so called model specific wiring diagrams which in my case are incorrect.

If you want the info look up the model on the website Usually has a specs page there

I would have been finding out before I bought it I think.
