Hi All

Was wondering if anyone has had any dealing with this brand of winch. (TDS 9500) Searched the threads but couldn't come up with anything. O/Lock has them for $895 and they seemed of reasonable quality. Even comes with a snatch block included.

Brisbane 4x4 show coming up in a few weeks so might have a look there for "deals"

Any help with this particular brand??

Cheers Dave

Gidday Dave

After seeing, and experiencing winch injuries, I wouldn’t be looking for a bargain. They’re not something you play around with, like ‘which is the best fridge or generator’.

If it was me I’d save up a few more dollars and buy a recognised brand such as Warn. Hope this helps.

PS Also get some training if you haven’t already done so. A winch can be just as bad as chain saw.

Regards

Kim

Kim, me old mate, I'd suggest that that is manure.

Most winch injuries come from the cable snapping, due to poor maintenance, improper connecting or overloading. The worst that a cheap winch is likely to do is stop working, it's not going to fly from the bar and decraniumize you.

I do however agree 100% with the training.

Regards,

Jim.
