What is it called? I recently met up with member merv and he took me out in his porta boat. I was very impressed once I got used to the floor moving. It was very stable with 3 big guys in there. It came up really choppy and it handled it well.

It is a porta boat. Do you know what lenght the one you went out in was and what hp it had on the back.

Hi David,

I had a 10' Porta-bote for a couple of years & it was brilliant for pottering around inland rivers, lakes etc..

It had a 4hp Mercury on it which was adequate for my son, wife & myself.

Very easy to assemble/disassemble & light enough for me & the misses to get up onto the roof rack.

I was very surprised at how fast it went with only me in it!

We took it out on the Wollondilly river, Dunns swamp, Cooper creek (lots of times) Nicholson river (lots of croc's) to name a few.

I bought it off an ExOz member & sold it to another!

They were porta-botes.

I have a 10' one with a 8HP Yammaha on it and it will plane with 3 Adults.

Great to take away as they sdon't take up much room and can be launched anywhere.

Cheers

Pete
