They say the best advertising is word of mouth, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good, HONEST diesel mechanic in the
brisbane area to do the valve adjustment and timing on my 1HZ. The old girl hasn't been near a mechanic in 3.5 years (do all servicing myself) and is starting to drink fuel like a soldier on R&R. Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Hughesy

Try Paul Geary Automotive in
Kingston Road, Underwood. Phone # 38083455.
Very honest, no b.s.
He's been doing all my vehicles for many years.

I will give him a ring Andrew. What vehicles of yours did he look after? Is he experienced with diesels?
I'm being extra careful this time - I've met to many dodgey blokes that I wouldn't trust to fix my wheely bin let alone my pride and joy. Thanks for your help Andrew I will mention your name and this web site.
Cheers,
Hughesy

I've a 3.0 GU TD Auto. I belaive he has quite a few of these that he is servicing regularly. As said below, his offsider Bert has a troopie and is a bit of a Yota expert. There is a new bloke working for him who seems quite good on 4bys.

Hughesy,
I always had my HJ60 and now my 100 series maintained by Paul Geary. His chief mechanic, Bert, has a troopy. Great mechanics, honest and very particular about their work.
And yes David, I have mentioned this site to them.

I would be interested to hear who you eventually use and how you find them, as I am looking to get the same work done on the same vehicle.
