Hi.

I'm not over there.
BUT. WHile it's down. Go to an aftermarket dealer and get a "Safari" type. Heavy duty cluth for same. Or Less than a factory one. Labour cheaper too.

I replaced my Dual Mass Flywheel\clutch. with a Solid flywheel and Safari clutch.
For $2350.incl labour.

nissan wanted more than that just to supply a Flywheel.

Just upgrading. No faults with them.

Hi Howie Sorry to hear about the Clutch...I used to operate a car yard in Wangara and Used Balczers Automotive to do our work as they owned their workshop and were very good and priced very reasonably. As for the clutch speak to Mike at Hitech in Wangara he will have something for you Ph 9309 4466 I cant remember the Balczers number maybe Mike can tell you the number as they probably use him for some of their parts Hope it all works out for you Cheers Ray

Check out your local ARB dealer Howie , mine was $1100 fitted recently - but I had to insist on a standard one as everybody seemed to want to fit HDuty at more cost.

so far,i have a figure of $1200-1600 depending on clutch from robsons and a vague figure of &1500 from giant nissan. waiting to here back from these guys with some details.
i am guessing about 6 hours labour, but girl at giant couldn't tell me if their price included flywheel or any unexpected costs.
i didn't know arb fitted gearboxes, which shop?

Mine were done in Victoria and 2 agents gave much same quote , which included a flywheel grind which was required so clutch could be guaranteed.

Nissan was $1400 , Howie

Hello Michael

Yes it was my first clutch in the GU with approx 220,000k .

It had not failed but I could tell it was near end of its life and chose to replace it went I could hunt around for a good job instead of under pressure.

Plan to do alternator brushes and fuel pump and few other things as well before they fail.

These Mas-damper Flywheels are causing problems in everything. Throw them out and put a standard unit in. You will notice some minor vibration noise in the gears at low revs but other then that no problems.
I do not know a manufacturer who is not having some problems with these things.
Cheers
