Hi. Just after some help with my 2002 Nissan GU Patrol. Have just done the conversion to a 4.2 Lt Turbo Diesel (TD42T). I have a Vacuum line coming out of a diaphragm on the side of the fuel pump/Throttle body and am trying to work out whether it needs to go all the way across to the other side where all the other Vac lines run or whether there is a line out somewhere else? If anyone has a 4.2 turbo GU patrol and are able to assist with photos etc, that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Craig,
That will be the idle-up diaphragm (increases idle speed when the egg-nishner is switched on)...
The vac line (from the diaphragm) runs up to a 'Fast Idle Control Device' (FICD) which is Nissan's fancy name for a solenoid valve, mounted on the firewall next to the wiper motor...
This valve gets it's vacuum from a port connected to the vac canister(s) on the LH side...
I can take some pics if you like, but if your vehicle doesn't have this solenoid valve (which you'll need if ya want the idle-up thingy to work), then it may be better for you to have a chat to your friendly Nissan parts man & have a look at the exploded view on his 'puter, to see how it all goes together.. (not much to it, really;-))
LMK if ya want the pics.....
Catch ya later...
:)
