Hi,
I recently had my evakool fridge die and I am now looking at replacing it with an Engel fridge.
I have seen all the threads on how long they last and they look great.
My question is does anyone know how long they have been getting assembled in Thailand? Is this a recent thing that could lessen the life compared to the older models?
Thanks

We have a 4 year old 40 ltr Engel, it has died and come back to life all by itself a couple of times. thing is there is nothing else in that size comparable.
Good Luck

Our Evacool fridge packed it in at
Cairns when it was 12 mths old, took it to the local fixit guy & all problem was the clip connection to the power inlet, he cut the clips off & soldered direct to the power input terminals, have had no probs for over 5yrs now & that includes 3 trips around OZ.
No way we can knock Evacool fridges.

There rather agricultural looking.
The 40lt model is $1353!!! plus another $198 for the 240v pack.
That's an expensive fridge!!

Trailblaza's often get a very good wrap, I am thinking of getting the 50lt when I sell the Patrol and Waeco together ;). Expensive perhaps, reliable? It would seem so.

Just bought a Bushman fridge which is great. Digital thermostat is very good and very accurate. And the idea of the different lids and collar is exceptional. Picked
mine up for $1175.
Check them out:

I can vouch for bushman too. Digital thermostat means the fridge doesn't have to work as hard or for as long.
