G'day
I have just bought a '84 L300 4wd.
I have had zero luck finding a service and repair manualfor the 4wd model.
Can anyone sugeest where i can find one.
Gregory's Service And Repair Manual for a Mitsubishi L300 Express Petrol 1980 - 1986, is not for the 4wd model.
Will I be able to use this manual for everything eccept the 4wd components?
Cheers
Clayton

is there much difference in the 2wd and 4wd? Might be the best you get since it wasnt a big seller.

try www.pitstop.net.au

Hey Clayton,
I recently purchased an 83 L300 too, if you enter L300 into the forum search engine you'll get all the L300 posts. According to these posts the manual is out of print and pretty scarce. Looks like the readers have been importing them from NZ via a site www.autobooks.co.nz I think the manual includes the 4wd components as well.
Are you restoring your L300?

Thanks
It appears that there isn't a service and repairs manual for my car.
I have only had the van a day and all seems fine for now.
I think ill go out and get a gregory's service and repairs manual for the 2wd model as it should cover the repairs i will have to do.

I got my manual from autobooks and took a long time to source as it is out of print. The manual for mine an 87 model covers 4wd...not sure if the earlier models are the same but the engines covered are the 4G63 2 litre and 4G64 2.4 litre engines.

If you are not sure what yours is the engine id is on the right lower side of the engine (looking fowards).

Hope this helps.

L300.
Clayton if you get a triton of the same year it is the same except for the gear linkages. I have the original factory books but I am not giving them to anyone. If you have a question I am happy to look it up for you. Eric.

L300.
I can not help with a source of the books but some large public librarys have them. The most important service item on the L300 is the air cleaner, it is in a dusty area and thefore must be checked often, also check the hose and connection to the carby, there should be an o ring between the elbow and the carby if not get one from a bearing shop. Eric.
