Hi, I'm thinking of getting a roof basket for a 5 week trip we are planning.
I want to put my jayco hawk annexe on it to free up some room in the camper trailer... I'm just worried about security when out and about.. Is it common for things to get knocked off from these roof baskets & do you think someone would want to take a annexe ?

No and no. I have travelled for ten years with gear stored in a roof basket. I don't carry anything easily portable up there except my 3kg gas bottle and I tie it down with a couple of occy straps. My centre pole tent lives there. I would think something the size of an annexe would be perfectly safe unless you parked it in Eveleigh St Redfern, leant a ladder up against the vehicle and offered to help unload it.

Gidday, we always use a roof basket when travelling, usually for the annexe but also at times bikes, fishing rods water containers, and never lost anything. With the annexe, you could put a padlock through one of the eyelets and the basket.
