Hi guys, I know there's a bunch of amateur radio operators out there, so lets get a list of us and maybe see if we can organize a net.

I'll start this is Steve VK2UD

Hi Mudduck,

Maybe ExplorOz members could have a network and have a list of people
interested put there call sign on ,and trip movements so we can start using our
$2000 plus radios we have plenty of channels to choose from, its getting that time of year for the migration lol .

hello Mudduck
A good idea but we are not members. Does that matter?

When travelling, I use HF as a portable station otherwise, uhf. Don't do much when not travelling. If you can get a net operational, I certainly wouild like to become involved. My call sign is VK4HBG.

regards

John & Lynne

Hi Steve Probably the biggest problem is signal propagation, some of the guys down here have used 30m (usually reasonably quiet) 40m's should work, I have 7075 programmed into my Codan - biggest problem is to get a word in sideways :).

Propagation on 20m's was awful last time I used the T/net so will be interesting to see how things are now, by the way Callsign is VK3BMN.

I plan to be on the road June/July heading for Darwin am currently upgrading the van for more offsite camping- extra batt's, 12v to 12v charger to keep the van battery up, Waeco fridge for the car- all that stuff, just finished installing a gas oven the XYL requested. trying not to have a last minute rush.

Be interested to see what happens
