I can offer a suggestion and will when I can get into the son's room to look at the brand. He uses it to film when racing his car. He obtained it on ebay and
views it on his small laptop. However, I am wondering how it is going to help you. I understand from your post that you want it on your bullbar and a screen in your cab. How is this going to help? I can imagine it would provide evidence in the event of a collision but I can't see that it would give you any prior warning. Can you say more about your thinking on this issue?

Can I respectfully suggest that if you get the camera substantially above your eyeline, ie on the rack above your head, you may increase your vision slightly. Someone suggested the top of the flag!!! However, the angle of the camera will be imperative as it could also be possible that your camera will point into the blue younder. May I also suggest that you consider, before buying an expensive system, that the camera will be bouncing around a great deal and that you will have to take your eyes off the track at the very moment when you may wish to be watching carefully. A reliable passenger could always sufice. The wonderful thing about our eyes is that they have shock absorbers.. our bodies, alike a camera.
A loud horn is a pretty good sustitute.
As promised the name of the exterior capable camera is a GoPro. There are also cameras that more advanced and more expensive.
