Hi there,
just wondering where I can find what the signs on trek maps mean e.g. a square with a group of people, a red P, red circles with a red stripe in it, horizontal, vertical, diagonal and such.

On the map system use the features option and select symbols and a window showing all map symbols will be shown.

Thanks for helping out so far. But still cant find the big P (in reddish brown) and the red circles I mentioned before. I've been looking in the trek from Iron Knob to Ceduna hwere ther is a lot of those (restricted area's?). And in the Victoria High Country I see a lot of circles wit an H in it. They are not mentioned too.

Ok - I now understand you need to see the Topo map legend. It is shown on the page but I can see that I have made no method of turning it on. I will have to fix this the Legend is below:

I will ensure I put a button on the map to show this legend.

Willem, Circles with a H in the high country would be Helipads. John

Hi guys, this helps a lot. Heaps of helipads in the High Country... Funny, the landing grounds, now I know why the direction of the red line in the circle is different all the time, depending of the direction one has to fly in. But hey, how about the mistery Big P? It's still not in the legend.
Cheers!
