If anyone is interested and don't get Aldi catalogues, Aldi's latest sale has hot water units for $249. Gas heated 12 volt pump.
No affiliation., no recommendations, and no concerns if they don't sell any.
They are probably Chinese, and based on some members ideas must be junk that will fall apart in 12 seconds. Obviously nowhere near as good as the ones they already have, and the colour may not match their nail polish.
But they may be worth a look.
But, site advertisers products should be your first option.
Aldi also have air mattresses with built in air pumps.
Cheers
I'll get there someday, or die wanting to.

And the catalog also has a 45l 3-way fridge for $299. But you have to remember that this stuff is aimed at occasional campers who would probably only use it a couple of times a year.

"this stuff is aimed at occasional campers who would probably only use it a couple of times a year"

Why is this, so it is out of warranty the first time you go to use it? hehehe;-))

Cheers, Trevor.

Apart from the colour, it looks EXACTLY the same as the Companion Aquacube, which is rrp $299, but could be had for $250 (or a bit less) at the Melb C&C show.

Bought an Aldi winch once, the Iron man ones rebadged "Torque". I know that quite a few people that bought one and have never had any problems, mine however needed to go back under warranty (3 years) for a simple solenoid problem which could have been easily fixed and It turned into a major drama, ended up getting a full refund and returning the winch in the end.

IMO If you ever have to make a warranty claim with Aldi they wont want to know you and couldn't care less, so they give you your money back and then you go and buy the better made one you should have in the first place.

That was my experience with them FWIW

Cheers

My experience with Aldi, in regard to returns or warranty has been excellent!

Alloy c/t

I was meaning It had a 3 year warranty, the solenoids shorted out within the first 8 months of owning it (after some water crossings), not a big deal to fix but Aldi wouldn't repair it or send it to be repaired????

In the manual It had Ironmans warranty number to ring but they would not look at the winch unless It was returned to the Aldi store, tagged and sent to them.
Aldi put it in the to hard basket and gave me all my money back.

Shaker,

I agree Aldi's return policy was great "in the end" but there was no way they were fixing that winch under warranty come rain hail or shine.

Went into local Aldi store thought I would buy a six pack of german beer however it was $40 a slab I asked the sales lady could I give her $10 for six because if I don't like it I don't want to be stuck with a slab, she said no problem if you don't like it after trying 3 or 4 cans just bring it back for a full refund. Paid the $40. Didn't like the beer after 2 cans took it back got full refund....try that anywhere else!!!

Bought a $135 Chinese chain saw from Bunnings. Used it extensively for 10 months when it developed a fuel problem. Could probably have fixed it myself in 10 minutes but they told me of I fiddled with it, the warranty would be voided. So I returned it and they replaced it with a new one and a further 12 month warranty.

It works as well as my Stihl which cost at least 5 times the price.
