Hi all - looking for a bit of advice - I have a Coromal 4.3 pop top caravan - app 800kg - towing with Nissan Terrano II 2.7 TDI (ball weight 100) - I am not very technical so bear with me - have no trouble towing, but am thinking of updating vehicle - what are the thoughts on a Nissan Xtrail diesel -
I will be a solo traveller next time I take off (possibly to
Katherine later in the year), so nothing too big. If not the Xtrail, what should I be looking at - not necessarily new, late model 2nd hand - thought Holden Captiva?
Nothing wrong with the Terrano, 1998 model, done 210,000 approx., still runs really
well, economical, and plenty of room, so don't want to go backwards in space inside really,
Anyway, will look forward to thoughts from you all
jules

Look on the compliance plate for the ATM..
No one can give a definitive answer without it.
I suspect it will be more than 800kg as
well.

Julie,
Go to the Nissan Australia site and
check out the specifications for the X-Trail diesel.
Cheers,
Di and Bruce

I think you will find the petrol version has higher tow specs. Strange but true.
