Can anyone advise if I can restock with cryovac meat at Alice Springs?
Would I need to order?
If so where are they found in Alice.

Thanks

Alan,

I can't be 100% sure about Alice but cryovac meat is not hard to get these days. Most Woolies and Coles supermarkets now offer the service.

In a town the size of Alice Springs I would be stunned if you could not get what you want.

p.s. That's not a Larry Norman quote in your tag is it?

Hi.
I have got a sirloin cut into roast size and cyrovaced there a couple of times.
Good beef and would call again.
I don't recall it costing any extra.
Cheers.

Milner Meats on Milner Road do it. A small strip shopping centre with Foodland (might be the one referred to above). We did not get cryovacing done as I have my own machine, but I know they offer it - they asked if we wanted the meat cryovaced as we mentioned we were travelling.

Don't be put off by the look of the shopping centre. The butchers shop is excellent and the meat very good. We were there two weeks ago.

Norm

Are we on the same page? By cryovac I mean vacuum packed and FROZEN.
I hope to replace frozen supplies when I get to Alice.

Can also vouch for Milner Meats - great meat, and heaps of variety - inc camel, etc, etc. Their bacon is about the best I've ever had. And they cyrovac.

I agree with alwaysrovin - Milner Meats have great quality and vacuum pack for a small extra charge per bag - no need to pre-book, they will do it while you wait.
