Can anyone tell me which wire is the cold side of the brake pedal stop light switch? also someone told me to use 5mm wire leading from the plug at the rear of the vehicle to the unit, but the wire leading out of the unit is only 3mm, would that be right?

I used the brake light wire from the left rear stop light on my NJ. The instructions recomended it if your vehicle has cruise control. (damn side easier to get at as
well).
Yeah I used 6mm to the trailer brakes and from battery to 20 Amp Auto reset relay and also the earth wire.
Cheers

Hi if you have a
test light use the switch above your brake pedal stick the point in the wires one at a time press the brake pedal if the
test light comes on that is the wire you need easy .soldier it on for the best contact. 6mm wire is usually the go back to the trailer plug

Usually the top one but try as above. Use a pin it doesnt make as big a hole
If light comes on BEFORE you push the brake pedal its the OTHER ONE
You could cut the 3mm wire close to the unit and SOLDER the 6mm to it
That length probably wont make a hell of a lot of difference.
I have twin 6mm going from there to the plug at the rear.
B hard to get to arent they LOL
