I have a new VX 200 series LC which have 18'' rims and I can't get BFG A/T tyres in 18".

The GXL 200 series have 17'' rims but not many for sale and Toyota want $1300 a rim for a new one.

Their seems to be a few 17'' 100 series rims for sale, but do they fit correctly on a 200 series?

This question has come up on lcool. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, they don't fit but I can't find the lcool thread on the subject at the moment.
Might also be an issue with load rating??

The 17" rims on the 100 series are the same size and offset as the 200 and will physically fit. The problem is the 200 series rims have a higher load rating than the 100 seiries and this becomes a issue with licensing and insurance.

No they definitely do not fit.

2 issues.

1)As posted the load rating is not sufficient ( needs to be 1250Kg)
2)The 17" OE 100 wheels will hit the brake calipers. Watch this on many aftermarket wheels too.

You can get Toyota steel rims for about $130 each. Otherwise the OE 17' often come up on ebay.

Also someone on lcool may want to do a swap for your 18's.

Ring Kedron Caravans they fit 200 landcruiser rims to their caravans. You can buy them from them for I think about $185 each. Look identical but have a different centre insert. They are 17 inch. Speak to Lisa.

Pling

there is a guy Mark on lcool who is interested in swapping 17" for 18" rims. You should contact him.

His email address is onehdft at gmail dot com or lookup onehdft on LCOOL.

Might work out for both of you.
