Dares Hill Tourist Drive Feedback

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

When I downloaded the track file for OziExplorer the track starts from Thomas hut ruins and finishes at Terowie. It misses the section between Hallett and Dares Hill Summit Rd & Mawson Trail. It has loaded the way points for all way points shown on the map on ExplorOz. I am using OziCE on a HEMA Navigator 5". To export it onto the Navigator I copied the files to the OziExplorer data file. I am brand new to Oziexplorer and am wondering if I have done something incorrectly.

Hi Leon
I have had a couple of emails and spoken to Damian about your problem. He sent me the files via email, just as they would have been downloaded from EO by you. When I loaded the files into normal Ozi explorer, the track section was complete with no missing sections. I am no computer expert, but it seems like an issue with the Navigator. Lets hope that some of the gurus can throw some light and get your problem fixed. It is a great drive, with such a lot to see.

I hope it can be sorted out easily. Make sure that you give the drive a go. Below are some pictures of what you can expect to see when doing the drive

Best of Luck and I hope you get it sorted out

Cheers

Stephen

Thanks Stephen, hopefully someone will know why it is doing this as I have just loaded the Gawler Ranges trek as well and it has done the same thing. It is not a major issue as I can still work it out via the way points.

It certainly looks quite interesting going by the pictures you have posted, we are heading up there for a weekend and staying at Burra Creek gorge as I have been told that it is an excellent camp spot.

Hi Leon
You can camp out at Caroona Creek as well. The Dares Hill track is not very long, under 100 kilometres, but will take you the good part of a day with all the stops.

Cheers

Stephen
