Can anyone help me?
My generator works OK except the sensor in the inverter is no longer sending a signal to the sensor in the carb for it to open the butterfly to allow more fuel in when additional load is applied.
The generator works OK as I can manually over ride the sensor by disconnecting it. Does anyone know where I could a) get it fixed or b) get a replacement inverter other than at Honda who have quoted me $1500 for an inverter...
I live in Brisbane.
Appreciate any help the forum can provide
Wayne

Wayne I had a similar problem with my inverter in my EU 2.0 only my problem was the eco throttle stopped working.
Took to honda as it was under warranty less than a year old I think, but told it was a corrosion problem as evidenced by where the wires entered the inverter, so not covered under warranty.
As you they quoted me $1400 to fix, at the time it was $1550 for a new one after $200 cash back.

A mate of mine had the same symptom as you with his but he found it was one of the throttle springs so he got out of it cheaply.

Nothing wrong with the throttle springs. I swapped a carb with mate who has an identical unit and it made no difference. It is an inverter, I just thought that there may be a cheaper way around paying $1400 for a replacement.

Thanks for telling me I am not halucinating.
