I'd second that, its called Prospector caravan park, and its on the highway on the Coolgardie side of town. Have a look here

hi all
thanks for the replys after a lenghty search on google i have found that the 2 c/parks that were listed as acclaim pks have been taken over by big 4 after my 2009 RAC book went to print hence the confusion
thanks for the help
i will now be able to use my big 4 membership discount for the first time in 2 years it's up for renewal on 31/3/10

i have tryed several times last year but each time the big 4 was booked out or there was'nt a big 4 where i was going to
so have not been able to justify the $40 fee ??????? unfortunately it was busy shool holiday periods so i quess i need to pick a different time frame in future
it seems to be much like trying to win lotto
cheers and many the thanks

Hi mazcan,

Whilst we havent been there within the past three months, we stayed twice last year at a Tourist park in Boulder, once for about a week at Easter and then again in July for a few nights. From memory I think it was a 'Top Tourist' one on the road to the airport. It had clean amenities, adequate sites and we found it ok on both occasions.

There were quite a few camper trailers and tents set up while we were there.

Regards,

Heather G

The Acclaim park in Burt St Boulder is quite nice

We stayed there for 10 days from 15th NOV.

It was quite good We had a drivethru just inside the gate.

Loos are clean and tidy as is the whole park.

Nice managers

Quite a few tradies live there so they start moving early.

Would recommend it as one of the better parks we had been in during the previous few months.

Go and visit the lolly shop in the main street of Boulder Sweets from all around the world and my favorite New Zealand Gingernut biccies.

hi all
well i'm back from ( KALGOORLIE PROSPECTOR CARAVAN PARK ( it's night stay/3 day trip
the road was good all the way but it was a hot day tuesday 23/3/10 and wednesday as well
36deg at 11am---- at the crematorium only natures aircon in the open design building reached 38deg soon after

but we survived and did'nt join our passed loved one!!!!!

from bunbury to merredin the temp ranged from 25 then 20 as i passed one bad electrical storm on collie williams rd and followed another from narrogin onwards then after corrigin light rain cleared and temp slowly crept up to 33.5 at merredin then went up rapidly to 35 /36/37/38 and stayed there until coolgardie where it dropped to 36.5 at 4.00pm and stayed there until about 9pm in kalgoorlie.

had a cooler return trip 25/3/10 yesterday 23deg at kalg on depature at 8.15am only got to 29deg between bruce rock and wickepin then cooled slowly as i headed through to collie /bunbury good rds and hardly saw any traffic either way the paddocks already have a green tinge showing as the seeds burst into life

8hr trip both ways 750km's had 4 brief stops going up and 3 coming back ate grapes and plums and sipped ice coffee each way and didnt get tired and didnt speed 7.16 ltrs/100km up and 6.1 ltrs/100km on return trip cooler and mostly down hill
2005 vw golf 1.9 turbo diesel hatchback / camper-trailer 450kg loaded a very good combined unit and a pleasure to drive suits my needs when camping/travelling
( on-rd type only)

just want to say the"PROSPECTOR CARAVAN PARK"was very exceptable
friendly staff and
clean amenities block and the pool was refreshing and clean plenty of washing machines etc and clothes lines with blue metal under them

and thanks again to those who gave me the good oil on it

there was green matting to put the camper trailer on so didnt need to unfold my own ground sheet brick paths to the amenities
on wednesday they sealed the park roads from the entrance past office and around the park to link and complete all unsealed sections so now will be no dust from traffic coming and going with/in

no trouble with power the campers kitchen was also clean with good facilities 2 fridges tv toaster electric kettle/microwave sink /hot/cold water and plenty of large seats and tables only paid $24.80 powered site per night for 1 person

it's not far to caltex on the corner near park and bp just up the rd
woolworths supermarket and red rooster in brookman st or kalgs main Hannan st
went to fu wah chinese and that was very clean with excellent food
cheers folks
