No seriously...we went with the intention to compare the Kedron, Bushtracker and the local manufactured Explorex.......she makes the decision on the layout....I make them on the serious stuff....workmanship, construction, suitabilty etc

I believe I had done sufficient research to make an informed decision on which of these would suit us.....I have been through the Kedron factory, spoken at length with Bushtracker and owners of these..........and so I wanted to have a serious look at Explorex

also decided on the Yamah 2.4 as aganist the Honda 2.0 for reasons of the A/C in seriously hot weather...and I have been a Honda man all my life!...bikes stationery motors and generators for the farm

The result is we signed for the 20' Explorex Tanami....delivery around Dec......... now we wait and plan and dream

cheers!

Very good , you are on your way.
I had a look at them [on the web only], if you don't mind me asking, what options did you choose [like solar etc] , weight, $$$ etc are you looking at.
they look a good product.

The van has so much "extras" as standard that it was really about adding a few items to personalise it subject to experience and intended use....to give you an idea this is what we did

The base price of the Tanami 20' was quoted $95,425......... we decided to supply our own gen set and solar panels.............chose the new style of off road coupling hitch as against the treg (cant remember the name of it but it looks so much easier to back up and hook on)........extra 2 water tanks....now total 4 x 85L......gas BBQ external......washing machine.......awning......dry weight is around 2.6T......

I had a good look at the Exporex there yesterday. Liked the nice open interiior layout and also the no bull dust attitude of the man. Being in mining repair industry and fussy about welding it was nice to see the excellent welding on the chassis they had on display. I'd look at them when we are ready for our next van.

YES... I hear you on that one. You should do the magazine checkout test at the supermarkets.............What is this I hear you say. Just read the covers of the mags at the checkout..... Who wore what dress to the oscars, who is having an affair with who etc. etc. etc.

Women buy this rubbish. Now translate this into the caravan show. They will also buy rubbish at the show as well.... My wife got some steel cookware set that makes great eggs at the same time as pancakes and steaks. I never saw any of this great food before it got thrown out. Weighed a ton. Then there was the food vacum seal kit but I was not allowed to seal filters and spares to keep out dust. Just weight watchers meals.

She did see a Kedron at the show however and that was a great choice.

Name with held out of fear

Go for the Honda. I did the same and purchased the Yamaha 2.4 and it's a pig of a thing. Took it back to a yamaha dealer and it still hunts and when running the A/C on the Van in heat mode it stalls when the heater cycles off no load on genset.
Purchased it 2 years ago at the show.
More than welcome to try it when you get the Van.
Cheers
