As most outlets in our area have been taken over by
United , a while ago now, But the oil range is still available in all the auto parts stores! ( most of them anyway) A damn good product that served australia
well for years, especially in country areas
Cheers Axle

My understanding is that
Mobil is getting out of retail fuel sales in some areas but will continue to distribute it.
Caltex has taken over all the servos in our area but
Mobil cards will still work there for another 6 months.
Cheers Craig...............

G'day, Are you in Gippsland Craig? If so, GPG was changing any way. At this stage
Mobil card will still be accepted indefinitely...........

I thought the proposed takeover of
Mobil by
Caltex was refused by the ACCC as it would lead to less competition and drive up fuel prices? I am sure that I read that recently?
All the Mobils in
Adelaide have remained
Mobil service stations and have noticed a few Mogas's popping up, are these
Mobil as
well?

Mobil and Shell had an agreement,
Mobil would reduce there brand outlets here in metro SA and Shell would reduce there brand outlets in one of the eastern states.
I think it was done to reduce competition.
This is the reason why there are so many Shell servo's here in metro SA.
