Road conditions, GCR & Tanami Rd

Hi Charlie 1,

We traveled these roads last year,from Alice up the Tanami to Halls Creek the only part that was rough was the WA side mainly because they cant get a grader driver to work that run.
GCR we traveled from Laverton back to Alice its a great wide road in places
easy camping off the side the only bad bit was around Docker River for about 120 ks.
All in all was a great trip.

Considering that part of the Tanami Rd is already closed and more rain can be expected, how long after it rain does it usually take to reopen a road? We do have an alternative route, Alice - Katherine - Kununurra, but gravel is more my thing and this whole trip was based around travelling the Tanami Rd. Would be rather disappointing.
