Hi Folks,
I'm about to
fork out for a new Triton and I'm finding it near impossible to find good intel on the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System (MMCS) and how useful it is for offroaders.
Anyone got one that has used it for real touring or offroading? Are they worth the three grand they're asking?
So far I know that they include a GPS, reversing camera display and DVD player. Anything else?
I'd also really like to know if you can download or upload way points to them. Things that real GPS units should do.
Thanks in advance.
David

Hi nqdave
I have MMCS in by '09 Pajero, and if there's a way to upload waypoint data I have yet to find it. On
mine, all map data is located on a DVD and there's no memory capacity to capture and hold additional data. I assume the Triton uses the same unit.
The MMCS works
well enough, although map data is mitsubishi specific and a little out of date. Reversing camera is good. Mind you, if I had it to do over I'd probably keep the $3K in my pocket and look at an after market option that does more.

Thanks entropy.
That's along the lines of what I was thinking.
Cheers,
