GU Patrol Replacement Suspension

Hi All

I have a 2004 3ltr GU Patrol and require your expert opinions on the better brand replacement suspension springs/kits. I currently have standard springs and would like some more height without sacrificing ride/handling. Is it worth going to Pedder for their suspension check, how accurate is it?

Cheers in advance

Rob

I loved the TJM XGS suspension on my 2005 3Lt Patrol. I had the 50mm lift. It easily handled the corrugations on the Canning Stock Route, Gibb River Road, Pilbara and the roads around the Gulf and Cape York (over 30,000 Km of dirt and still no signs of fading when someone crashed into me, ending my dreams).
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Chris

Wouldn't bother with Pedders. There are lots of suspension places around that will do a better job.

Dobbinsons Springworks in Rockhampton QLD do a great job.
I have a GU 2006 Patrol Trayback, got a 50mm lift, front springs were plus
100kgs rear were plus 350 kgs, bit stiff unloaded but great when
loaded with the van on.
They will send them to you via courier
I do not work for them.
Regards hope this helps

X 2 for Dobinson Springs. I have been using their springs for over 20 years now. First up, the leaves on my 60 series Cruiser and Dobinson Shocks as well, and now I have a set of 2" lift Dobinson coils on my GU Patrol. Both sets of springs have held their lift very well, and were supplied at a very competative price.

Have had a great run out of OME 50mm lift. Done around 150,000k including the Canning, Cape, High Country and various trips in between. Carried spare shocks for the CSR and still unused in the box.

Aust. wide back up.

I've got 2" (closer to 3") dobinson springs and lovells shocks on my 03 GU. Been through Simpson and plenty of corrugations to and from and have not noticed anything wrong with them. Plenty of guys on Patrol forum run the same combo. Check out suspensionstuff.com.au Shane seems like a top bloke.
