Wondering if I can get some advice on tracks around Mt Stirling over
Easter. Will be in the area and was thinking of taking a drive. I have a soft roader that I have taken on some pretty hard tracks.
I was thinking of driving the
King River Road to
King Hut, then back along Speculation track onto the circuit road and then up to
Craig's hut and then back out on the circuit road.
Has anyone been in this area recently and can comment on the tracks.
Much appreciated.

The route you are looking at is not particually difficult although dropping down to Pineapple Flat can get a little boggy after rain. There are several river crossings up to
King Hut (Site) that can be rough & again after rain can be up to 700 deep & fast flowing although at the moment would be below the bumper. Back up to Craigs Hut is basicaly main road. There is nothing in there that requires low range.
Cheers Craig............
